Optional Adsterra advertising
Our cooking basics, ingredient swaps and nutrition guides offer an optional 300 × 250 Adsterra banner. It is off by default. Selecting “Allow Adsterra ads” loads the banner from bauval.org and connects to Adsterra and its advertising partners. They may process your IP address, device and browser information, cookies and advertising interactions for ad delivery, personalisation, measurement and fraud prevention. See Adsterra’s privacy policy.
Permission applies only to the current page view and is not saved for your next visit. You can use every guide without allowing the banner. “Withdraw Adsterra permission” removes the banner and stops further requests from that frame; it cannot undo information already sent or erase third-party cookies. You can clear those cookies in your browser settings. Google advertising choices are managed separately through Privacy and cookie settings.
Ingredient photos and recipe suggestions
On the What in stock page, selected photos stay on your device until you tap Identify ingredients. The browser resizes them and sends the resized images to OpenAI through our server for ingredient identification. The site does not save these photos or the stock list to its database, photo storage or browser storage. Your reviewed ingredient list and selected country are sent to OpenAI when you tap Find my recipes. These requests use API storage disabled; OpenAI may retain service data under its applicable API data policies. OpenAI data policies. Photos and stock inputs clear when the page reloads. Avoid images containing faces, addresses or other personal information. Technical hosting and provider logs may still be processed for service operation and security.

This site includes the Google AdSense advertising and consent-management tag. It does not include a separate analytics service, user accounts or newsletter forms. Category filters, batch scaling and ingredient checkboxes run in your browser. Ingredient ticks and batch controls reset on reload. Recipe searches filter locally. When no match is found, a dish query and selected country/course may be sent to our AI service to create a recipe draft. Do not enter personal or sensitive information. Generated recipes are saved in the site database and appear in the relevant collection. AI generation can take time or be unavailable; the site reports the actual state.
Hosting and external resources
The hosting platform may process technical request information for operation, security and owner-private access. Images are served with the site. External websites linked from the guides have their own privacy practices.
If you email our editorial address, we receive your email address and the information in your message. We use it to respond to enquiries and corrections. Avoid sending sensitive personal information. Email is handled through Microsoft’s service.
Google advertising and your choices
We use InMobi Choice to collect and remember advertising privacy choices. Its message explains the vendors and purposes and lets you accept, refuse or manage optional consent. InMobi may process technical information and store consent records. Read InMobi’s privacy policy.
Google AdSense and its advertising partners may process IP addresses, browser and device information, cookies, ad interactions and consent choices. Our integration waits for affirmative advertising consent before loading Google’s ad script and requests non-personalised ads. Ad availability still depends on Google approval and account settings. Adsterra permission is separate.
Use Privacy and cookie settings in the footer to reopen the applicable consent screen and change your choices. Withdrawing permission reloads the page to stop the current Google ad session; it cannot undo information already sent or erase third-party cookies. You can clear cookies through your browser. If the consent service is unavailable, Google’s ad script stays blocked. The message is configured worldwide, with US privacy choices where applicable.
